Voucher Wars

Voucher Wars is an optional, friendly challenge competition within a non-profit organization to recognize which team can garner the most support and sell the most "deals", a.k.a "vouchers". Organizations can be grouped in a number of ways. (i.e. grade levels, classes, team leaders, areas.)

The team that gathers the most support claims "braggin' rights" and special prizes if provided. As a supporter purchases a "deal", a.k.a "voucher", an option to select a team is available.

Team members promote their organization's "deal", and request recognition.

Voucher Wars is a simple and fun way to provide recognition. The Voucher Wars score board is updated daily at mid-night.

About Children First

Children First, Inc. was organized as Family Outreach in 1977, a volunteer organization that performed case management for the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. As Family Outreach, we received our 501(c)(3) in 1978. By 1985, our mission evolved from volunteer-based case management to professional counseling and therapy services for victims of abuse. Therefore, we separated from the state and incorporated under the new name of Children First in order to better represent our new focus and services.

Today, our mission to end the cycle of child abuse and family violence is carried out through counseling and education by a staff of skilled, compassionate, licensed therapists. Our diverse staff of counselors is equipped to assist children, adolescents, and adults. Because we are one of only few agencies in North Texas to provide Play Therapy, we are able to begin the healing process for children as young as age 3.

Please watch our 5 minute video -->click here<-- sharing child abuse statistics and images. This video also shares information about Children First Counseling Center, a nonprofit agency providing counseling and play therapy services to victims of child abuse and domestic violence.

Texas Roadhouse (Grand Prairie)

It all began on February 17, 1993, when Kent Taylor opened the first Texas Roadhouse in Clarksville, Indiana. Kent’s goal was to own not just a family restaurant and not just a steak restaurant, but a place where everyone, of all ages, could come and have a great meal and great fun for a great price.

We like to brag about our Hand-Cut Steaks, Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, Made-From-Scratch Sides, and Fresh-Baked Bread. Everything we do goes into making our hearty meals stand out. We handcraft almost everything we serve. We provide larger portions so you get more food for your dollar. And if you want an Ice Cold Beer or Legendary Margarita to wash it all down — well, we have those, too.

Our food’s not the only thing that’s Legendary at the Roadhouse — our fun is too! From our line dancers to our jukebox to our friendly servers, you’ll enjoy every second you spend in a Texas Roadhouse.

At Texas Roadhouse our team has an incredible sense of pride in everything we do. Our passion ensures you have a Legendary Experience every time. Because of our passion for our guests and our communities, our team members are involved outside the restaurants in their local communities as a way to give back.
